Ginger Tarr
Shea is a Florida licensed interior designer and a professional member
of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Ginger is a third
generation Tampa interior designer and owner of Ginger Tarr Shea Interiors
in Tampa. Her grandfather, Russell H. Tarr, built a seven story furniture
store at the corner of Kennedy Avenue and Hyde Park Avenue in Tampa, just
blocks from her current studio location on South Brevard Avenue. Mr. Tarr
was a pioneer in the furniture industry with a building and business said
to be the finest south of the Georgia-Florida border. Mr. Tarr was President
of the National Retail Furniture Association in Chicago in 1928. Ginger's
father and uncle continued the family furniture and interior design tradition
with the family business, Tarr's Furniture Company, which was established
in 1904.
Ginger Tarr
Shea has a Master's Degree in Interior Design and a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Education from Florida State University. Ginger was an instructor
at the International Academy of Design & Technology in Tampa, where
she taught classes in open office system design, medical office design,
and designing for the elderly and handicapped.
Ginger is
certified by the National Council of Interior Design Qualification - Cert.
No. 7956, and by the American Society of Interior Design - Cert. No. 970086.
Her State of Florida Interior Design License number is ID 0000357.
